Raymond
A. Parker is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer for PHRST & Company,
Inc. Ray began his management career in 1971. He holds life certification
as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the HRCI. His
background includes senior management assignments with United States
Steel Corporation in the steel, chemicals and energy industries around
the US. In private business and with Pannell Kerr Forster, CPAs, Ray
provided expertise to national and international companies on organization
design and development. Ray authored and directed the national
Telecommunications, Electronic Computing and Electronic Component (TEE)
Compensation and Benefits Survey for Fortune 100 companies across the US.
Ray came
to Miami and Ryder System, Inc. to direct the human resource planning
function and to provide customer service, human resource services
and strategic planning to customers nationally. Later Ray joined Rodime,
PLC as an Officer and Vice President to direct HR activities in Asia,
Europe and North America. At the same time he was General Manager
for North America. In 1993 he joined ADP's professional employer organization
to expand the full service human resource capability and to direct
human resource services for 535 clients and 20,500 employees.
Ray has
experience in all areas of human resource management and concentrations in
international HR, labor relations and compensation. His latest book, HUMAN
RESOURCE HANDBOOK, A Desktop Guide To Effective Employee Management, was
published in 2000 throughout the US and Canada. Ray negotiated national
union labor contracts, conducted more than 140 arbitration cases and
established national precedents for effective labor-management relations. He
developed compensation and benefits plans for Fortune 100 companies, he
provided strategic planning and organization development expertise to
numerous companies, he was an advisor to the US Navy on organization design
and compensation, and he developed and implemented international organization
and compensation plans. Ray gained extensive international exposure via
assignments in Europe and Asia.
Ray earned
his BS in Motivational Research Psychology and did MBA work at Pennsylvania
State University. His Masters degree in Counseling Psychology is from
The College of New Jersey. He served on various Governors' Task Forces
on organization development and design, and he served on the United
Kingdom and Singapore Economic Development Boards for organization
design and development. Ray is retired as a US Army combat Airborne
Ranger, Special Operations Forces officer with command and combat
experience in the US and Vietnam.
Claudia J. Parker, Ed.D.
Claudia
J. Parker is Co-founder and President for PHRST & Company, Inc. Claudia
began her career in 1973 in the Bristol, PA Public Schools System
where she directed implementation and regulation of Title VII of the
Civil Rights Act. For the Polk County, FL, School System she was an
instructor and managed student evaluation, class reporting, and course
outlining. In the Garland, TX, School System Claudia was an instructor,
assistant principal and later district assistant director responsible
for administration of computerized instructional systems.
In 1987 Claudia
joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers as Group Director - Marketing where she was
responsible for marketing and public relations for 9 CPA offices serving the
southeastern region of the US, selected Latin American countries and the
Caribbean. Being multi-lingual and having insight into bi-cultural business
in South America, Claudia edited various business outlook periodicals for the
firm. In 1996 Claudia joined Grant Thornton LLP where she is Director –
International Marketing leading firm marketing programs throughout North,
Central and South America. Serving as a conferring executive on PHRST
projects, coordinating international activities and facilitating contract and
alliance activities, Claudia simultaneously brings a broad perspective to
PHRST's operations.
Claudia
has extensive practical and theoretical background and experience
in training and development as well as international relations, strategic
planning, organization development, business planning, and top-level
liaison with government, public and private organizations. Her multi-lingual
fluency, world-wide computer interaction and presentation expertise
bring her into new markets to serve as a catalyst for prospects and
clients as well as a network resource for PHRST business development.
Claudia continues to edit industry business journals on the US and
Latin America.
Claudia
earned her Doctorate in Administration and Linguistics from Texas
A & M, her Masters in Linguistics and English from the University
of Pittsburgh, and her B.A. in Linguistics and Spanish from Pennsylvania
State University.
